This Request for Tender is an invitation by the Corporation of the Township of Norwich to prospective Bidders to submit bids for the reconstruction of two gravel roads within the Township – Beaconsfield Road between County Road 59 and Middletown Line, and Substation Road between County Road 59 and Middletown Line. The work generally includes excavation of the existing road base and subbase to an approximate depth of 400 mm, placement of Granular B, and placement of approximately 100 mm (4 inches) of Granular A surface course. Work also includes ditching and reshaping as required, compaction, and fine grading to achieve proper road profile and drainage. Where existing granular materials are determined by the Township to be suitable for reuse, they may be incorporated into the reconstructed road structure. The quantity of reusable material is unknown and may vary by location. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications and Drawings (OPSS/OPSD).
